About Michael

Michael Wissot is considered one of the leading voices and future leaders in California politics. Wissot works as Managing General Partner of SymAction Communications, which specializes in public relations, market research, sales training and government affairs. He also serves as an adjunct professor of communication at Pepperdine University, as well as a political analyst and guest host for KABC talk radio. He co-authored a popular business book, The 10 People Who Suck, in 2007 and was selected as one of the San Fernando Valley's top professionals under 40 years of age.

Wissot previously worked as Vice President of Luntz Research Companies, a premier corporate and public affairs communications firm. He has served as a focus group moderator for such clients as Coca-Cola, 20th Century FOX, Motion Pictures Association of America, Recording Industry Association of America, Thomson Financial, Ameriquest Mortgage, Miller Brewing, Wynn Las Vegas, and Kroger. He has also contributed to messaging projects for President George W. Bush, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and several other world leaders and CEOs.

In 2003, Wissot served as Southern California Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition. He was instrumental in growing the RJC's base to over 1000 members, developing chapters in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, and creating unprecedented national and statewide publicity for many successful events and activities.

From 1999 to 2002, Wissot served at the helm of Dentistry.com, a leading Internet company that specializes in information-based services for patients and dental professionals. Dentistry.com, to this day, offers the most comprehensive online referral services for patients and dentists nationwide.

Wissot worked for United States Senator John McCain (R-AZ) in both Washington DC and Phoenix. His legislative duties for Senator McCain and the Senate Committee for Commerce, Science, and Transportation included the moratorium on Internet taxation, the deregulation of the telecommunication/cable industry, and the curbing of corruption in professional boxing.

His background in the sports entertainment industry is highlighted by stints with the San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, and Insight Bowl. Wissot's public relations expertise was fostered through a challenging agenda at Hill and Knowlton in New York, handling several high profiled companies.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University, a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Arizona, and a Master of International Management degree from Thunderbird.

Michael Wissot has made several television and radio appearances, including the Al Rantel Show, Mark Larson Show, Jon and Ken Show, Kim Serafin Show, Toward Tradition Show, and Bill Rosendahl Show. He has also published articles for PR Week, Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal, Jerusalem Post, The Daily News, and various local newspapers.
